Spring production

As you may know, we were unfortunately unable to cast Separate Tables for March. The read through was well attended and everyone enjoyed the two plays, but we were short of a few key roles as a number of regular actors couldn’t commit. However, Gwyn is very much hoping to do this in November, and will try to cast it early so that everyone has it in their diaries. We could do with a few more active acting members, especially to cast into younger roles, so if you know of any people who might like to join us, we are all ears!
As time is short now, the committee has decided to repeat some of the Mixed Doubles playlets we did last April, as they were good fun, and only ran for one evening. We hope we’ll be able to attract audiences for Friday 18th and Saturday 19th March. We are also adding a few other spicy ngredients to the evening – one or two of the Alan Bennett ‘Talking Heads’ monologues, and a short one-acter from our wonderful younger members – I’ve already emailed a few of them, but let me know if you’d like to get involved (over 50s need not apply!). I’m afraid there’s not time or resources to ask the very youngest cast members to perform on this occasion.
I’ve been ask to coordinate the whole thing. We shall still need the usual production teams for backstage, front of house, bar etc. Shelley has kindly offered to provide some food for the evenings – something along the lines of a ploughman’s  – and she will need some help with this. Offers please!
