The Spring has been an active season for Upham Players members, with a trip to see Alan Ayckbourn’s “Absent Friends” at the Theatre Royal in Winchester and a club evening and supper featuring four one act plays from various authors, under the title of “Mixed Doubles”.
At the recent AGM Mo Peters stood down after doing a fantastic job of chairing the group for five years and new Chair Shelley Pitter was elected. Another valuable, long serving member, Gwyn Halsall, also retired from the Committee and Chris Little was elected.
Martin Dearlove and Shelley Pitter are busily penning another Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre to be performed on 25th 26th 27th 28th November. The read through and auditions for “Christmas Can Be Murder” will be held at Upham Village Hall on Monday 13th July at 8pm. There will be roles for adults and teens, plus small parts for younger members. If you have a child who is interested in taking part please get in touch.
